Important Tax License Information |
- How do I obtain an Arizona Tax Priviledge (Resale) License?
- Go to www.azdor.gov
- Do I need a City Tax License?
- For Carefree, Cave Creek, Goodyear and Surprise, you need to add those cities or towns to your existing state of Arizona Tax Priviledge (Resale) License for a one time only fee using state of AZ form # ADOR 74-4001.
- Cave Creek also requires a $50 annual business license. Go to www.cavecreek.org .
- For Peoria, go to www.peoriaaz.gov
- For Scottsdale, go to www.scottsdaleaz.gov
- All sales by vendors are made directly to customers and vendors are responsible for all their own bookkeeping and sales tax collections and payments. Magic Bird Festivals requires that you provide your state and city tax numbers so that we are able to provide lists to the state and cities when requested.
- The state of Arizona, County of Maricopa and each city or town sets their own sales tax rates subject to change from time to time.
- While Magic Bird will assist you in keeping up to date on total sales tax for each venue, it is your responsibility as a business owner to know this information. Current sales tax rate totals are as follows: Carefree = 9.3% Cave Creek = 9.3% Peoria = 8.1% Surprise = 8.5% Goodyear = 8.3%

- All events receive major media advertising. Advertising and directional event signs are placed by Magic Bird Festivals as best allowed by very restrictive city and town codes.
- Nearby or on site RV parking and camping is allowed at no extra charge at all venues EXCEPT NOT AT CAREFREE RESORT.
- Carefree Resort generally offers reduced room rates for participating vendors geared to time of season.
- At outdoor event locations we highly recommend using a professional and sturdy tent canopy. You MUST have a professional weight system for that canopy and any loss of yours or someone else’s product and/or display equipment due to severe weather belongs to you.
- Set up for most events this season will be early on the first morning of that event weekend, generally around 8am. Come prepared with hand carts, etc. for most expeditious and efficient set up and please, always be COURTEOUS TO YOUR FELLOW VENDORS.
- Over night SECURITY is NOT PROVIDED at Carefree Resort and Cave Creek Coffee Co. although the Mesquite Room at Carefree Resort locks out the guests and public. However, it does not lock out some employees.
- Over night SECURITY at Peoria, Surprise and Goodyear Stadiums may or may not be available depending on the number of total bookings due to rates lowered over $100 per booth this year. We must have a minimum of 80 exhibits in order to pay for security.
- FOOD CONCESSION VENDORS pay the same rate by size as all other types of vendors. Additional requirements for food concession vendors includes obtaining Maricopa County Environmental Services Health Licenses and providing Magic Bird Festivals with Certificate of Insurance naming Magic Bird Festivals, LLC and the City and their venue location as additional insureds. Minimum GA needs be $2,000,000.
